Storm Blaster
While I am comfortably sitting inside our service van this morning, I heard our driver said, “Buti na lang bumangga iyung bagyo sa Sierra Madre kaya sumabog at nawala iyung bagyo.” (It is a good thing that the storm hit the mountains of Sierra Madre that it exploded and vaporized.) That is interesting. I thought to myself. I continued eavesdropping to the conversation. Someone also said about the importance of protecting our mountains. Noble concern, I surmised.
Suddenly, an idea popped out of my mind. I poked at the workmate sitting beside me. (Can the military just invent a sort of bomb or missile to blow the storm over?) She looked at me seemingly agreeing.
“Ah. (Ah. It should not be. It is too difficult to alter the course of nature. If ever the invention would be a success, nature might bring in a new and even destructive calamity. Let the mountain s and storm do their battle.)
I changed my position on the bomb/missile thing thinking that there is no way to change the course of nature. My workmate just looked at me as if trying to decipher what I am saying. Probably she thought I am weird.

As far as I remember, the US Military had experimented with bombs and hurricanes in the mid sixties.
It failed.
putting men above nature is the last thing i want to happen.
but nature is the part that we could always changed.
it is either nature change or us men change. una-unahan lang yan at dependent din siguro sa power na available at hand
but in the end, when one of them change first, the latter follows.
medyo weird nga, hehehe
